There is no place better than Breckenridge in the summer! The local saying is, “I came for the skiing; I stayed for the summers.” That’s certainly true for us! We first saw Breckenridge in the summer of 1996 and less than one year later became full-time residents.
There are endless activities in the summer. If you like being up in the mountains, there is hiking and mountain biking with gorgeous meadows of wildflowers. The Blue River goes right through town and offers fly-fishing and kayaking. Don’t forget about Breckenridge Resort’s Adventure Park with an alpine slide, mini golf, human maze to name a few. We’ve even got a rodeo!
The USA Pro Cycling Challenge came through the last few years and had a stop in Breckenridge. 4th of July Fireworks, Oktoberfest, the National Repertory Orchestra, Dancing in the Rockies: all of these events bring thousands to our little mountain town.
